Accessing the disassemble command

Is it possible to override/access the disassemble command so as to add extra functionality to it?

Currently it is not. You can only hook an additional event handler to the menu item. Can you describe what exactly you are trying to do?

I have a related question, regarding whether or not we can hook into the Disassembler window's control output without writing our own language writer?

I'm interested in reordering the output of the fields on enum types ... or giving the option to order by value or by alpha (current order).

It seems I have 2 options:
  1. creating my own viewer and output the enum (a al ClassViewer)
  2. create my own language writer and do everything

So I was wondering if there is a way to just hook into the disassembler's output (without trying to hack the control).... any other options besides those 2?

I know this is an older thread, but I too am wondering if there is a way to hook into the Disassembler window's control output.  The changes I want to make should be fairly simple and I would not think they would warrant a new language writer if there is any way to access the current text of the Disassembler window.

Does anyone know if this is possible?
